Reese has randomly climbed out of her crib a few times over the last 6 months, but nothing consistent. A few weeks ago, she figured it out and it was impossible to keep her in. She also started waking up pretty regularly around 6:00 AM (she was waking up 7:30-8:00 AM). It was not a fun adjustment for Mom and Dad, but it was pretty funny (in retrospect) to get woken up your 2-year old staring at you. Or poking your feet. Or yelling at you "I wake up! Mommy and Daddy wake up!"
However, after nap time one day, I was done. She got out of her crib, climbed up the changing table, opened the baby powder, and poured it EVERYWHERE. Inside drawers, on all her clothes and blankets. In her toy drawers. On her diapers. The girl was thorough. Sigh. At least her room smelled nice for a couple of days. Here's the evidence:
I had been going back and forth over the idea of getting a crib tent for a few days. (Those suckers are kind of expensive!)This sealed the deal. Best $70 I've spent in a while. We got her excited about it by telling her she was going to be able to go camping in her tent every night! She doesn't mind it at all and we are all sleeping better!!
